Accounts Assistant

Basis: Part time - Permanent (16 hrs pw – Mondays & Tuesdays)
Salary: £ - Dependent on Experience
Location: Working from our Wrexham Offices

Job Description

An experienced Accounts Assistant is required to join our growing practice, delivering our accountancy services accurately and efficiently to a variety of clients of all sizes. Experience of computerised accountancy packages (desktop and cloud based), working with spreadsheets and an eye for detail are essential skills. Working to deadlines, prioritising workloads and dealing directly with clients, this is a varied role for a personally organised individual.

Job responsibilities

  • Raising Sales Invoices
  • Processing Purchases / Expenses
  • Prepayment, Accrual and Depreciation tracking
  • Preparing and posting Journal Entries
  • Bank reconciliations
  • VAT Returns
  • Preparing monthly management accounts
  • Working on year end accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies
  • Filing

Essential Experience of

  • Quickbooks, Xero or Sage Cloud Accounts
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

Additional skills required

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Personally organised
  • Team player

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

Hours of work are : Monday & Tuesday - 9am to 5pm - This is a permanent position, with the option for additional hours or full time hours in future.

Salary is dependent on experience.

Payroll Assistant

Basis: Full time - Permanent (37.5 hrs pw Monday to Friday)
Salary: £ - Dependent on Experience
Location: Working from our Wrexham Offices

Job Description

An experienced Payroll Assistant is required to join our growing practice, providing a full and professional payroll service to the company’s clients; processing up to 70 payrolls per month, accurately and on time. Working to deadlines, prioritising workloads and dealing directly with clients, this is a varied role for a personally organised individual.

Job responsibilities

  • Processing weekly, four weekly and monthly payrolls
  • Processing new starters and leavers
  • Producing payroll reports and payslips for distribution
  • Ensure payrolls are backed up appropriately
  • Making pension submissions to providers
  • Producing client payroll journals when required
  • Update payroll procedures when / where appropriate
  • Liaise with clients to answer queries, requests and take hours/data for the processing of the payrolls
  • Generate monthly payroll processing schedules
  • Produce letters & emails to go out to clients, produce reports and other documentation within Word and Excel
  • Answer telephone queries, redirect or take messages where appropriate
  • Maintain effective filing systems
  • Undertake such other duties as may reasonably be required within the business

Essential Experience of

  • Sage 50 Payroll - ideally, other similar software experience would be considered
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
